Distillery Visitor Sensors?

Posted by Tanja / April 14, 2006

april1506_distilldiodes.jpgBefore today, I'd never noticed these panels strung over at least one lane within the Distillery District. This one, just outside the entrance leading to Soma Chocolates(more on them in another post), seems like an odd but innocent panel of LEDs until you pass under it and it changes colours...

An interesting new wave security feature, I suppose. That or they're having ghost -- or better yet, vampire -- issues in the area and want to check up on who/what is wandering the grounds.

The blue state appears to read "LORO"... hmmm. Anyone?

they use them in parts of england to control rowdy drunks. not that they have problems with that in the distillery anymore but they are food mood lighting; they make you feel differently, especially at night, than regular lights
