april2806_bikedemo.jpgThis off the news wires: The City is going to be offering a demo in the morning on how to avoid bike and truck collisions.

That's Friday, April 28th at 10AM on the west side of Bay St, just N of Queen West.

City Councillor (Davenport) and Chair of the Toronto Cycling Committee, Adam Giambrone along with Sgt Bowman of Toronto Police will be in attendance to address bike safety relating to the recent fatalities.

Appears mainly to be a media deal for the 6 o'clock news, but there's no reason why you shouldn't attend and ask a few questions... loudly.

Any word on what the focus of it all was? If they wanted to stop the collisions, the focus should be on educating the truck drivers, but somehow I suspect that that isn't going to be the case.
