I'm not sure if this is common practice at Toronto area bakeries, but I was a bit surprised this morning to see the Venezia Bakery dump more than 10 boxes of bread into this garbage truck. Isn't there a better way to dispose of this? Wouldn't Second Harvest or another organization that distributes food to those in need appreciate these loaves?
