Dejection, TTC-style

It was about a quarter to five, and I was on the subway heading west, when the driver came on the P.A.:

"Attention passengers, I hate to have to tell you bad news, but Team Canada just lost to Russia in the quarter-finals of mens' Olympic hockey and has been eliminated."

And the entire train groaned as one.

I love my country.

-So how's the game?
-No way!
-Are you upset?
-Wow.
-So does this mean they only get the silver?
-Oh my god!

i was surprised how many people thought this was the gold medal game.
funniest line last night... Brian Williams on CBC asking Don Cherry what he thinks about semi-final matches
Cherry says: "I don't care"
