Feathers & Fluff: Pillow Fight in Dundas Sq

Today's anti-gun and violence rally in Dundas Square was supported by the biggest public brawl the young square has ever seen. No one was hurt of course, as no weapons were allowed...
this was a PILLOW FIGHT.

Pillow-nun-chucks (sp?) for this ninja...

Ducking for cover.

Fluff explosion.

Scared of her own strength.

A peaceful ending.

Funny how these anti-gun and violence rally's downtown are comprised mostly of young, white artsy fartsy types. Where was the black and oriental youth represented? They should be down there in group hugs and pillow fights. Maybe not!
Check out my flickr for more pictures of the event
there was black an oriental youth reprazented...by me! i'm the chinese jamaican wielding the two red pillow in the pikcha above. silk asian kung fu outfit and dreadlocks...reprazenting di island propah! we made signs that said "t.a.p. fighters" on them with a large number as if we were in a marathon. nobody messes with the toronto association of pillow fighters. we take pillow fighting seriously ;) less gunz, more pillowz! more feathers less bullets!

The pillowfight actually had nothing to do with the gun penalty rally; it was just a coincidence that they happened at the same time. The fight was organized by http://www.newmindspace.com/
Definitely.. we got the good word from them after all. Didnt realize I'd implied coalition ;) But as opposed to be standing out in insensitivity to the co-square user, the theme did quickly become, 'fight with pillows, not guns...'
