I love getting my news from the local media as much as anyone, but news from the future is an added bonus. Unfortunately for Jacko, he'll be raided again, six months after his trial. If only tomorrow they could print Saturday's winning lotto numbers. Fingers crossed.

On a side note, how many directories does the dose.ca website contain? I swear *every* single piece/article/section contains some sort of specific dose website.

I feel sorry for their webmaster.

"Ok, so, we have an article on prosthetic limbs.. webmaster could you please create the directory dose.ca/prostethiclimbs so people can chat about it.. thanks".

If you sign up for a photo space you get a directory style address too. I post some of my <a href="http://www.doublecrossed.ca"; target="_blank">DoubleCrossed.ca</a> pics up there and so I get the address http://toronto.dose.ca/doublecrossed.

Absolute madness. heh.

They probably use some sort of friendly-url/url-re-writing system in place.

When you goto dose.ca/somearticle/somearticle

it just looks at /somearticle/somearticle and pulls the stuff in from the database, and its not actually in 'directories'.

Sort of like perm-links on some blogs. URL for the post

someblog.com/2005/05/01/1.htm isnt a folder tree 2005/05/01, it just parses out the 'path' in the address, and looks it up in the database and spits out the page.

Thanks CanWest for launching this paper, we now have something to laugh at everyday..pretty soon catching typos/errors will become our daily dose

Ha.

My final 2 cents for this line of criticism is just that the paper is SO small. It's practially a leaflet. Get rid of the celeb photos and graphics and it might fit on a business card...

how hard can it be to proofread??
