Bitter Tokens

This morning was my first taste of the up and coming TTC price hike... My AM commute normally begins at an automatic TTC entrance, but when the TTC token machines are limited to handing over 1 token per passenger (aka current status) it means an extra 10 mins in the cold to find an agent who can fork out the discounted 10 for 19 bucks! Am I whining?

I guess Toronto went a little haywire in stocking up their coins before the March 6 hike? According to Pulse 24, TTC is rationing them to AVOID any hording. Whatever, an inconvenience is an inconvenience, especially at 8:40am when it's -7 degrees!

The deats: On March 6th, the $2.25 will go up to $2.50 a pop, or $20 for 10 tickets/tokens. I don't know about you, but I can't WAIT for this snow to melt so I can get back on my bike and leave the TTC in the dust.

Each year I live in this city I find myself staying on my bike later into the year, and getting back on my bike sooner in the year.

I bought my bike for $150
Each month that I buy a metropass costs me about $100
God damn this snow and ice and coldness!
