Are You Embarrassed Easily?

Posted by Roger Cullman / March 10, 2008

Are You Embarrassed Easily? Are you embarrassed easily? We all did things as kids that caused us much embarrassment. Some of them may not have been embarrassing at the time, but they sure are now.

It's time to share your embarrassing things you wrote when you were a kid. Tonight is the fourth installment of Daniel Misener's free open mic-style event, Grownups Read Things They Wrote As Kids.

Read the FAQ, bring a few friends and prepare to laugh yourself silly. Remember: You have to be the one who wrote it, as a kid. You have to be the one who reads it, as an adult. It has to be short.

Start digging in that closet, drawer or shoebox. Diary entries, book reports, letters home from camp, it's all game. Don't be shy and share your shame.

It all goes down at The Gladstone Hotel Ballroom(1214 Queen St. W.) tonight, starting at 8 p.m.

For those unable to attend, feel free to share some of your best (worst?) literary moments here....

Not sure if the point of this event is to read something embarrassing as much as it is to just read something you wrote as a kid. In fact, most of the content from the nights I've been to haven't been that embarrassing at all.
