This week is looking pretty sparse as far as literary events go, but I promise, it all happens in September. Back to school, back to the books. The good ol' staples are with us this week though- Artbar, TINARS and Hot-Sauced.

Tuesday, August 28th:

The Art Bar Poetry Series presents their Theme Night hosted by Cynthia Gould: Sex, Drugs, and Rockin' Poetry- an exploration of rock lyrics as poetry.
Clinton's Tavern. 8pm. Free.

Thursday, August 30th:

This Is Not A Reading Series presents Barbara Klunder and her book Other Goose: Recycled Rhymes For Our Fragile Times, with DJ Billy Bryans and funky dance music from Canada's calypso/reggae rebels Kobo Town.
Gladstone Hotel Ballroom. 7:30pm. Free.

Hot-Sauced Words
- interactive poetry/spoken-word event hosted by Creative-James Dewar, featuring Ingrid Ruthig and Steven Laird. Poetry challenge each show!
It's Not a Deli. 8:30pm (open mic sign-up 8:15pm). Pass-the-Hat admission.
