Memories of Toronto at Circa Book Launch

Posted by Tim / February 14, 2007

20070215_circa2.jpgThis Saturday night, blogTO's Tanja-Tiziana Burdi will be launching her new book, Circa: An Urban Retrospect, at Le Petit Dejeuner.

As the name suggests, Circa is a collection of images documenting Tanja's experience and memories of Toronto. Like Daily Dose of Imagery's Sam Javanrouh, Tanja used a great new book publishing service called Blurb which makes it possible to create amazing looking books at a price point and quality that was previously unavailable to individuals or limited run publications.

The Circa release party is Saturday February 17th at 7pm at Le Petit Dejeuner, 191 King Street East. The exhibit will include ten 12x12 black and white prints from the book. Copies of Circa will also be available for purchase. More images on Flickr

"Memories of Toronto" sounds like the next PC sauce. lol

Actually, to clarify, it's not really about my memories... It's a fictional scrapbook/journal of one person's life growing up in the city. This story is told by the narrator who adds photos to the book between the 1930's and the 1980's.

Steve - It goes on sale Saturday/Feb 17th. I'll be taking orders at <a href="http://www.urbanretrospect.com/circa";>Urban Retrospect</a> and will ship them personally so that shipping rates are reasonable.
