Remarkably Fresh at The Remarkable Bean
A coffee shop that does on-site baking and roasting daily, this Beaches mainstay has a cult-like following, and for good reason. They're into fair trade, the shop is welcoming, and everything smells and tastes great.See my review of The Remarkable Bean in the cafes section.

Trinty Bellwoods gets its White Squirrel

White Squirrel Cafe, right across the street, serving up Greg's Ice Cream. But in this weather, you can still get a solid cuppa steaming coffee to warm the cockles of your heart.Read my profile of White Squirrel Cafe in the cafes section.

Niche Cafe Warms the Belly
I feel good about eating at Niche for three reasons. Ready? Ok. One, because all the food is made in house, and the baked stuff uses real butter. Butter always makes me feel good. Two, because their coffee is premium, and it tastes lovely. And three, because they help people with Asperger Syndrome acquire vocational skills to take on the work force. See, it all just warms the nooks of my belly. Read my profile of Niche in the cafes section.
