An Horse stuck on repeat
An Horse, the indie-pop duo from Brisbane, Australia dropped into Toronto on Monday evening for an early show with their friend Hannah Georgas at The Garrison. The two acts have fairly distinct musical stylings and played off each other well, even if the former group felt a little repetitive. Music
This Ain't No Secret
You might remember Rajiv Thavanathan as the host of the (now defunct and archived) Toronto Independent Music podcast; or maybe as the guitarist and lead singer from Oh No Forest Fires. You might also have seen him playing bass in All Day Driver or Five Blank Pages a while ago. But with Oh No Forest Fires' recent break up (or hiatus? huh? maybe?) in January and All Day Driver on a break while other band members tour, all of that musical greatness needs some sort of outlet.Enter Secret Connection - Rajiv's new solo project.

The Junction make a triumphant return to Lee's Palace
The Junction returned to their old stomping grounds at Lee's Palace on Saturday night and were joined by Toronto atmospheric suit rockers The Darcys and Ottawa's powerhouse Amos The Transparent. Music
Old Man Luedecke reminds us what banjo is all about
Folks packed into the back room of the Old Man Luedecke and help him celebrate the release of his new album, My Hands Are On Fire and Other Love Songs. Music
Two Hours Traffic and Dead Letter Chorus make great tour mates
Two Hours Traffic rolled into town on Saturday night to join friends English Words and Dead Letter Chorus for an evening at Lee's Palace. Unfortunately I missed Charlottetown's English Words' performance (who were formally known as Smothered in Hugs), but Dead Letter Chorus' performance more than made up for anything I missed.
