The two acts have fairly distinct musical stylings and played off each other well, even if the former group felt a little repetitive.

Secret ConnectionYou might remember Rajiv Thavanathan as the host of the (now defunct and archived) Toronto Independent Music podcast; or maybe as the guitarist and lead singer from Oh No Forest Fires. You might also have seen him playing bass in All Day Driver or Five Blank Pages a while ago. But with Oh No Forest Fires' recent break up (or hiatus? huh? maybe?) in January and All Day Driver on a break while other band members tour, all of that musical greatness needs some sort of outlet.

Two Hours Traffic and Dead Letter Chorus make great tour mates

Two Hours TrafficTwo Hours Traffic rolled into town on Saturday night to join friends English Words and Dead Letter Chorus for an evening at Lee's Palace. Unfortunately I missed Charlottetown's English Words' performance (who were formally known as Smothered in Hugs), but Dead Letter Chorus' performance more than made up for anything I missed.
