Flickr Forum - January 25th, 2008 - Shadow
The blogTO Flickr Forum is a weekly sampling of themed photographs taken by Torontonians and aims to not only feature the talent they possess, but also spur dialogue and reveal the stories behind the images.Today's collection of Toronto photographs is made up of responses to our call for photos that fit the theme "SHADOW". These images were all recently submitted to the blogTO Flickr pool.
To the photographers: we'd love to hear about your photos. A little info on where it was taken and the story behind the photo is always a great start.
To the rest of you, feel free to ask questions to the artists, submit photos to the blogTO Flickr pool for next week's consideration, or just sit back and enjoy our weekly mosaic.

Faces of Toronto: Frank

73-year old Frank Savazzi moved to Canada 42 years ago from Milano, Italy. At the tender age of ten, his mother encouraged him to become a tailor. He would attend school for half the day and spend the rest of his day learning the skills of the trade.
"If I had a penny for every stitch I have made, I would be a millionaire many times," he jokes.

West Side Story Suite

A great way to keep warm and enjoy the longer evenings can be found at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts from November 8-18th. The 2007/2008 season of the National Ballet of Canada is opening with a tribute to the great American Choreographer, Jerome Robbins. A triple bill of Robbins' finest short works, Glass Pieces (1983), In the Night (1970) and West Side Story Suite (1995), all company premieres, will mark the tenth anniversary of his death.
