Gelato, now in convenient spaghetti form
There's a new gelateria in town and some of the ways they serve up the creamy stuff are a bit surprising. There's gelato in the shape of cannolis, gelato sandwiches and the pièce de résistance - spaghetti gelato.Find out more in my review of Gelato Simply Italian in the restaurants section.

Another Italian restaurant opens near Yonge & St. Clair
Many restaurants have come and gone at 1406 Yonge Street so all bets are off whether the neighbourhood will support another Italian place. While my first dining experience here was a bit hit and miss, I suspect a few refinements and a steady stream of take-out pizza orders will help make this family run eatery an eventual winner.Read my review of Nove Trattoria in the restaurants section.

Where to find good sushi on Yonge St.

It's Japanese owned and fresh fish is brought in daily.Read my review of Solo Sushi Bekkan in the restaurants section.

Food for football fans
There's a shrine to football on Bathurst just south of Queen. They have 13 flat screen TVs, four private booths, red card and yellow card martinis and a devoted customer base of TFC fanboys. They serve food too, have 12 beers on tap and might just be the toughest place outside of Little Italy to snag a seat during the World Cup.Read my review of the Football Factory in the restaurants section.
