Poutini's Magic
Poutine, the quintessential (and artery clogging) Canadian food, has been quite the rage in Toronto in recent years, and it seems like the effort to fill (what used to be) the void isn't slowing. Another poutine shop opened just this weekend, in West Queen West. Poutini's take on the classic is magical, and they also do a vegetarian version, and baked potato poutine.

Holy Crepe! Hibiscus Cafe is Good
Even though it's number two in our list of the city's Best Wheat and Gluten Free restaurants, the serene Hibiscus Cafe seems to get overlooked by higher profile Kensington Market faves. But whether this tiny spot is an undiscovered gem or something else entirely, one thing is certain - Hibiscus Cafe has excellent (and dairy free) crepes and good food.Read my review of Hibiscus Cafe in the cafes section.
