Parallels at the Canadian Corps Legion Hall
My friends have been ranting and raving to me about Primary Colors for the past year. Apparently, they host some of the best parties in Toronto. Last night I decided to finally check out their event You So Big Muscle Strong J'Taime' at the Canadian Corps Legion Hall. Music
Candy Land
After standing in line on Queen for what seemed like hours, I finally found myself Inside Wrongbar. I was there to see Glass Candy. Known for their high energy performances, they never disappoint and tonight was no exception. Night Jewel had already started their set. The usually dark room was heavily outfitted with red tinselesque streamers and white balloons hanging from the ceilings and flooding the stage. I pushed through a dense crowd which surrounded the duo as they performed their hearts out with various keyboards and sequence machines. I hadn't seen these guys live before, but based on their Myspace I wasn't convinced they'd win me over.

5 Bands, 1 Garage
Yesterday was the first of many "Dapslove Presents: All Ages" at Rolly's Garage on Ossington. There are so many great things to say about this event, so to get to the point and make things a little more interesting, I've decided to make a list of them.#5. Wide range of music style.
Big kudos and smart move to Dapslove. I noticed that they had a wide array of sound throughout the night which attracts the broadest audience. You're probably going to like at least one of the 5 bands that are chosen for the bill.

Land of Sweat
Land of Talk are a band that I've been following since I got my hands on their EP Applause Cheer Boo Hiss in 2006, so when I heard that they were playing at the Horseshoe, I made sure that I kept January 15 completely free.It was arctic weather outside, so when I got into the Horseshoe I was a little relieved at how warm it was, but that thought would haunt me later through out the night.
