Momofuku's sister bar might suffer for being associated with such a hot restaurant, and indeed, its upstairs location means it could become a haute waiting room of sorts. But the service is good, the cocktails are better, and whetting your appetite over a drink definitely beats waiting in the cold.

Toronto Fashion Week reached its pinnacle last night when Joe Mimran and Joe Fresh took over the runway at 9pm. The seating area resembled that of a homecoming game: eager fans in feathered flocks, all awaiting with baited breath. The show began with an introductory short, with swirling black and white and pouting Twiggy clones from the period. It all gave way to a guitar solo that one can't help but strut to--and then came legendary model Pat Cleveland, with a walk that'll give any RuPaul Drag Race contestant a run for their money.

The shOws has returned to Toronto for another season. Kicking off last night at the Andrew Richard Designs space near Adelaide and Parliament, the two-day fashion series was the place to be to preview the Spring/Summer 2013 collections from Jean-Pierre Braganza and Tanya Taylor.

This new club on Queen has sprouted up right beside the notorious Wicked swingers club and shares some similarities. Yes, there are swings and bouncers, and the staff is good-looking, but the interior (complete with a runway) doesn't quite measure up to the promise inherent in the club's name.

When pondering the names of reigning bartenders in Toronto, Moses McIntee easily comes to mind: the man has helmed so many bars that he ought to be an institution. Considering the part he played in the Spoke Club, Nota Bene, the Ritz, Lucid, and now Museum Tavern, it'd be difficult to not have sipped a concoction of his--or one influenced by his famously meticulous approach.
