German-inspired pub grub now available on Queen St.

Bohemian GastropubChef Paul Boehmer has expanded beyond his eponymous Ossington restaurant to create a space on Queen West that evokes both ridiculous condo developments and overdone food trends. But don't let the name hold you back. The menu is packed with modern takes on tasty German fare including spaetzle poutine, currywurst and hunter schnitzel.

Little Italy moves west

Black Skirt TorontoLittle Italy may be home to a number of pedestrian Italian restaurants but the same cannot be said for the corner of College and Rushholme - a few blocks west of the traditional neighbourhood boundaries. There, a newish restaurant opened in the old Pantry space, serves up fresh, delicious pasta as well as panini and a range of other Italian classics.

Brutal service sinks new Bloordale restaurant owned by ex-Libretto and Delux chefs
