267 Salty Meals in Chinatown

Posted by Beverly Cheng / August 30, 2009

Pho Ai My Restaurant TorontoAnother addition to the Vietnamese contingent of restaurants in Chinatown, Pho Ai My can be a bit daunting with a menu boasting 267 items. But despite the long list, vegetarians won't have much luck here, nor will anyone who doesn't have an affinity for salt.

Crepes on Queen

Crêperie La BréhandaiseCreperie la Brehandaise is a Britanny-inspired little bit of French authenticity near Queen and Shaw. I stopped by the other day to try the crepes and soak up the atmosphere on the quiet, and for me, nostalgic patio.

A Break from the Mundane at Walima Cafe

Posted by Beverly Cheng / July 28, 2009

walima cafe torontoWalima Cafe, on Danforth near Coxwell, surely is a break from the mundane. Moroccan fare in a relaxed but eclectic interior (ornamental trinkets are here and there, and... everywhere), and at very reasonable prices, makes it a nice change of pace and the place to be for mint tea, great food, and Al Jazeera TV.
