Jake ChiricoBorn in North Bay, this director first came on the radar after directing a documentary about the town's annual mayfly invasion that sees millions of the insects thrive and die within only a few days' span. It showed at this year's Sprockets and won best doc and best editing at the Sheridan College Media Arts Awards.

Kurt BrowningKurt Browning is a four-time World Champion, four-time Canadian Champion and inductee into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. He's also co-host, coach and mentor on Battle of the Blades and, I learn, a big fan of the Science Centre and Atlantic City.

This February, Chiu took home the award for Best in Broadcast at the Travel Journalism Awards for her 2009 UK special, MTV Pounds Britain, and just recently returned from a jaunt in France to cover its ever-evolving music scene.
