Restaurants in Koreatown come and go but this classic has been around since 1937 serving up staples like bi bim bap, pork bone soup and beef ribs.

Koreatown might be an odd location for one of Toronto's only restaurants specializing in cuisine from one of India's most southern states but I'm not complaining that access to great tasting Malabari food is just a short walk from Christie station.

Leslieville has more than its fair share of Italian restaurants but this local favourite on Queen east of Jones scores points for its back yard patio and mostly successful food and drink offerings - even if slow service and missing ingredients nearly overshadow the dining experience.
