North York expressive watercolour artist Herry Arifin hasn't been doing watercolour paintings for very long, but he most surely has a keen eye and impressive skill for it. Once seeing a few of his urban-oriented works appear in the blogTO Flickr pool, I was immediately intrigued. After taking a look at his site, I thought I'd share a few of them here.

I'm no art critic, but I do know what I find captivating. Arifin's paintings are beautiful. They capture some of the most iconic snapshots of the Toronto urban landscape, in vivid colour and at a level of abstractness that works for me.

Shit, these are really cool. Anyone who has ever worked with watercolors, I'm sure can appreciate these even more.
