Janet Cardiff & George Bures Miller @ OCAD

Ontario queen of sound art, Janet Cardiff, has made a name for her self with local and international works combining visual and sound elements into her installation art pieces/environments. One of her most notable pieces has got to be Her Long Black Hair, and audio walk through Central Park in which a narrative of video, photographs and audio take the you on a 35-minute journey along the path of she with the long black hair.

She has collaborated George Bures Miller a number of successful times. The latest work, The Paradise Institute, has already won a number of wards and exhibited internationally.

Thanks to OCAD, Janet and George will deliver a talk live at OCAD tonight at 6:30pm. The event takes place in the Auditorium (Rm 190) of the Nora E. Vaughan Wing at 100 McCaul St. For those who can't make it out in person, the event will be streamed live online.
