Boondocks Revisited

So Teletoon finally did get back to me about the controversial cartoon coming to Canada. They were pretty accommodating, even inviting me to join in on a videoconference with creator Aaron McGruder. I couldn't make it, however, and had to decline.

The Teletoon spokesperson told me flat out: "We're not editing the series. We're airing as we receive it from Sony Pictures International, controversial expressions intact."

N-words and all.

I guess if The Comedy Network can run Chappelle's Show with N-bombs intact, so can The Boondocks.

The cartoon airs tonight, so we'll see if there's any backlash...

Thanks for the tip. Caught it last night.
Marginally funny, but I wouldn't plan my schedule around it. Stylistically it's a pleasure to watch though...

I agree that the first episode wasn't the best. But, as with most first eps, it did a solid job of setting up the premise.

Future episodes are a lot funnier.
