Has Heather Mallick left the Globe and Mail?

So confessed the Bought columnist on CBC Radio One's Go this past Saturday.

Heather, say it ain't so?

Don't let a duck-egg blue chair be your legacy!

Looks like she had a really <a href="http://thestar.blogs.com/azerb/2005/12/heather_mallick.html"; target="_blank">good reason</a> to quit the Globe after all. Always glad to see someone take a stand for what they feel is right.

How ever will I replace Heather?

Yeah, she's gone. I'd hoped she was, well, "resting", but my recent letter to the Globe was returned with "Heather Mallick is no longer employed with The Globe and Mail." That page in the Globe's Focus section on Saturdays looks so empty now. I'm sure there's a good reason. As if.

What a shame she's gone - hope she gets back to journalism soon, somewhere.

I couldn't wait any longer to find out why Heather Mallick is no longer in the Globe. That's awful. I miss her so much and don't know where else to read her. I will have to sob into her pillow book and dream of looking for her every Saturday morning. One time my psychiatrist asked me if I liked Heather Mallick. Oh yes, I replied. I thought so, the shrink said. I wondered what that meant, but left the shrink. I prefer Heather.

Heather has left the Globe, rejoice, rejoice, her one trick pony, feminist perspective was becoming such a bore
