Dini Petty at Hugh's Room

My friend Don tells me that Dini will be at Hugh's Room on September 24 at 8:30pm. There she will enact "The Moth, The Flame, & The Lemming", a recounting of her media career: from her first gig as the first woman in the world to operate and broadcast from a helicopter to "whatever it is that she does today." (as Don blythely put it). Tickets are $20 advance / $22 at the door.

This is definitely a case of "I was there when". In this case, I can say I was there when Dini Petty became the erstwhile host of CityTV talk show Cityline. Indeed, if you look at archival footage you will probably see me as a teenager in my Coke bottle glasses sitting in the audience in an effort to get free stuff.
