Art Child is both an illustrator and street artist who went to school at Sheridan College for Classical Animation. He then pulled out of school to move to Halifax where he worked for an animation studio for a number of years before ultimately to return to Toronto to pursue his own work after losing interest in the animation business.
Since moving back to Toronto, Art Child has worked as a freelance artist, mixing it up with a variety of commisioned street art projects throughout the city. Originally inspired to go into art by Leonardo DaVinci, he earned his moniker from his mother who called him her Art Child.
Not locking into any strict style his art ranges from cartoony to realism and he works in various mediums to suit each project. Currently, he is doing a lot of pencil and ink comic work but hopes to publish a graphic novel in the future and collaborate with Marvel comics in 2009.
