About the Artist

Angela Del Buono is a photo-based artist who works primarily digitally but still can't quite cut the cord to her medium format camera. A product of Bramalea Ontario, she studied photography at OCAD and just completed her MFA at York University. Today, she spends countless hours at her day job at the OCAD Espon Imaging Lab where she gets to experiment with and print her latest creations.

Thus far in her career all her photography projects have centered around themes in and around the GTA. Del Buono's A New City focuses on the city of her youth and portays scenes of barren suburban landscapes from empty playgrounds to vacant parks.

As a whole, her work touches themes of memory, passage of time and transitions. When she finds spaces or objects that make her pause and reflect she decides to capture them with her camera before they are replaced with something new.
