The city got its first restaurant dedicated to mac and cheese in 2015 and we haven’t looked back. This Ossington spot comes from the same folks behind the now shuttered Poutini’s and Hawker Bar. Tinfoil-plated macaroni comes loaded with ingredients like blue cheese, pulled pork, and carbonara with pancetta.

This smokehouse on Queen Street offers two types of mac and cheese just a few steps from Trinity Bellwoods Park. Cheddar-doused macaroni is topped with either Ontario pulled pork or a house-smoked pulled chicken.

Head to College Street for the infamously crushable eats from Hogtown, which are totally meat-free. Their vegan Mac’n Cheez is topped with herbed breadcrumbs and can be spruced up with soy pork and spicy unChicken.

This brewpub in the Junction takes their mac and cheese by using a mornay sauce made from IPA, cheddar, and a sprinkling of parsley panko. Get the dish with wild mushrooms, a beer-braised short rib, and on rare occasion, lobster.

The Annex’s longstanding pub has moved from its original Mirvish Village location to Bloor Street, but it’s still cooking up its popular mac and cheese with a mix of colby, gruyere, and cheddar. Plus, their dish is served with garlic bread.

Generous portions of mac and cheese fill out the menu of this beloved BBQ spot in the Upper Beaches, now with another location on the Danforth. Pair it with gargantuan beef ribs, $5 for a small or $10 for a large.
