This week in theatre rounds up the most noteworthy live theatre playing right now in Toronto. It includes just-opened shows as well as productions that are about to close.

YICHUD (Seclusion) / Theatre Passe Muraille / 7:30pm/2:00pm / $30-$45
It's wedding season again and hit-play YICHUD (Seclusion) is back for another round of nuptials. The play is a "My Big Fat Jewish Orthodox Wedding" of sorts that follows Rachel and Chaim into the the Yichud Room (the place where the newly married couple go to be alone after the ceremony). After much critical success in 2010, Julie Tepperman's play returns for a limited engagement. Open bar not included.

The Boom Show / The Supermarket / Thursday, May 26 9pm / $10
This week, Toronto-based sketch group The Boom celebrates their three year anniversary of shows at The Supermarket in Kensington Market. Joining the group this week are comedians Colin Mochrie, Scott Thompson, Nikki Payne, Eric Toth, Mark Debonis, Deb McGrath, Hannah Spear, and Rhiannon Archer. With all that talent plus The Boom regulars for only $10, this is a sure-bet smile fest.

Present Laughter / Todmorden Mills / 8:00pm/2:00pm / $15-$20
The East Side Players have been presenting community theatre for over forty years now. Their latest offering is a fun-filled bit of fluff (but who doesn't like a cozy comedy) from Noel Coward called Present Laughter. Featuring a self-obsessed actor, a suffering secretary, and a crazed playwright, the plot has all the makings for tomfoolery and shenanigans.

La Ronde / Club Wicked / 7:30pm / $15-$25
In Arthur Schnitzler's La Ronde, one truly is the loneliest number. The playwright prefers ten: ten scenes, ten people, ten hookups. The production tries to suggest that--as a charged multicultural and cosmopolitan city--Toronto has a lot of naughty activity going on behind closed doors. While the production doesn't make it to climax, the setting at Club Wicked might just be tempting enough to check it out.

re(Birth) e.e. cummings in Song / Window on Toronto (Double Bill) / Young Centre for the Performing Arts / 8:00pm/2:00pm / $28-60
This week marks your last chance to check out re(Birth) e.e. cummings in Song and Window on Toronto, two shows created by Soulpepper Academy members. blogTO's Roger Cullman called the double bill, "a great night out and would be ideal for entertaining a friend or relative from out of town" in his review. Specifically, Window on Toronto is an energetic play about the city we love (or love to hate).
