Bike Repair Toronto

Bike Repair Locations in Toronto

When it comes to tuning and fixing my bike I'm a bit useless. Anything beyond a flat tire and I need some help. Usually I take my bike back to Duke's (where I bought it), just one of the many great bike stores in Toronto that also happens to offer repair and maintenance services.

But now, thanks to the team at Xinsight, there's now an iPhone app that will make it easier to track down somewhere to repair my bike when I'm nowhere near Richmond and Spadina. The new app, available for free from iTunes until the end of today (starting tomorrow it goes up to 99 cents), is called BikeFixTO.

I just gave it a whirl and found it to be both useful and easy to use. I opened it up when I was in Leslieville and the app correctly identified Biseagal, Polly's Recycle and Warren Cycle Works as the three nearest bike repair locations, all within a short walk. I could then click on any of these places to get a photo, hours of operation, address and phone number. There's also a link to a Google map.

The only things missing that I'd like to see the app provide are more details about the services each place offers, some prices and user comments. But those are all just "nice to haves" and definitely not mandatory to make BikeFixTO a nice addition to my iPhone app collection.
