Winter Fragfest 2006

The only thing better than playing video games all day long is to continue playing them all night long, and then throughout the following day as well. The Toronto Fun League (TFL) Winter Fragfest 2006 kicks off this Saturday, December 16th at the CNIB Center and won't end until Sunday the 17th. Prospective entrants had best brush up on their Counterstrike skills, as its two iterations (version 1.6, and Source) will be the players' main outlets for venting some steam at the event, all in the name of a good time and some big $prizes$. Other games are expected to be played, but are unannounced.

As an added bonus, the TFL has teamed up with Armagh, a non-profit second-stage housing for abused women and children. Gamers, sponsors, and spectators are asked to help out by bringing non-perishable foods, clothes, and toys. Rack up your frag count and help out those in need, all in one weekend? PWNAGE! I can't wait to see all the crazy modifications some gamers have made to their computers. Many a UV LED fan shall be spinning.

Registration for the event is 40$, plus 10$ for each tournament you participate in. It's Bring Your Own Computer, as well. Donations work as the spectator's fee.
