BOOKS & LIT | "The Great Stagnation" with Tyler Cowen
New York Times author and economist Tyler Cowen gives a special lecture on his latest e-book sensation "The Great Stagnation." The book, fully titled "The Great Stagnation: How America Ate All The Low-Hanging Fruit of Modern History, Got Sick, and Will (Eventually) Feel Better" focuses on how the American economy heavily relied on its "low-hanging fruits" (i.e. immigrant labour, free land) since the 17th century and now that prosperity has disappeared. The lecture will be followed by a discussion between Cowen and National Post columnist Andrew Coyne. The event will be recorded and aired on TVO's Big Ideas.
Isabel Bader Theatre (93 Charles Street East) 7PM $20
