MUSIC | Don't Touch That Dial Presents: Shabamzy!, Hey Brother!, Mr. Pharmacist, Atom & The Volumes
A great musical line up rocks Clinton's tonight. Don't Touch That Dial, a "music and culture agency" is curating tonight's bill, and will be doing several shows at Clinton's this Summer. Tonight's headliners are Shabamzy, who describe themselves as "country gonzo punk", while Brantford's Hey Brother, have an earthy, alt rock vibe with a modern edge. Also on the bill is Mr. Pharmacy, a Fall tribute band. Opening the show will be Atom & The Volumes, who just dropped their debut EP a few weeks ago and have a tight, raw, groove-infused approach, and they are also impeccable dressers to boot! Should be a good one.

CULTURE | The Box Summer Salon
The Box is a "salon night" that happens quarterly, bringing together many of Toronto's different cultural scenes at one event. Tonight's guests will include musician Chris A. Cummings (aka. Mantler), writer/performer Lo Bill, author Marc Dillon, Toronto collective EQUΔLΔTERΔL, poet Helen Guri, filmmaker Larissa Fan, musician John Southworth, and others. In addition, many of Toronto's literary publications and zines will be on hand as "door treats".

FILM | CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival's A WORLD OF SHORTS
Tonight "A World Of Shorts" will take you on a cinematic trip! It's hard not to love short films: so tightly constructed and economically crafted - like a great pop song. This is a great opportunity to experience some of the best: "A World Of Shorts" will be screening the award winners of the Canadian Film Centre's 2012 Worldwide Short Film Festival. You are promised a wide variety of themes, images, colours and more - over an hour and a half's worth of international talent for your viewing pleasure.
Bloor Hot Docs Cinema (506 Bloor Street West) 5PM $11 / $6 members

ART | TBF 2012 - "Crossing Borders" Art Show
Even if you cannot recall when the 'burlesque revival' crossed over into popular culture, there is no denying that it has, and it has a long history worth looking into which reveals this genre of entertainment to have much more depth than one would realize at first. This evening, the Toronto Burlesque Festival presents "Crossing Borders", an art exhibit featuring works of visual art and photography by members of the Vaudeville Visual Artists Alliance, a group closely connected to TO's burlesque community. Tonight's opening reception will include dancers, readings, and music. The exhibit runs until July 22nd.
