PHOTOGRAPHY | 50 Years of The Rolling Stones
The grandfathers of rock and roll (sorry, Dad) are captured by several photographers over the course of their 50-year career in this exhibit opening at the CONTACT Festival tonight. 50 Years of The Rolling Stones features photos both legendary and rare by well-known artists like Philip Townsend, Lynn Goldsmith, Barrie Wentzell and Ken Regan. The images have been gathered into a comprehensive collection from a time when the Rolling Stones were a new, young band through to the explosion of their fame and their current status as legends. The exhibition remains open until June 3rd and the opening reception party will feature plenty of drinks and socializing. Do as the Stones do.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Two and a Quarter Opening Reception
Snapshot photography, and its nostalgic elements, have become popular again in recent years, so in conjunction with the CONTACT Photography Festival, the Lomography Gallery Store on Queen West is hosting Two and a Quarter, an exhibit that pays homage to modern lomography. 17 local photographers, such as Rebecca Cairns, Sarah Palmer and Andrew B. Myers, will display their analogue work under the theme of nostalgia as trend and inspiration. Each photographer has used a Lomography Diana F+ camera as their apparatus and will be present to discuss their work at tonight's opening party.

LITERATURE | Chris Hutchinson reads at livewords
Canadian poet and Earle Birney Prize winner reads tonight at livewords, a reading series that combines poetry, spoken word and fiction-based performances. Hutchinson will be joined by writer, poet and editor Stevie Howell, as well as poet and short fiction writer Dilys Leman. Six spots are left for the open mic portion of the evening with the only requirement being one poem with a 3-minute maximum.

COMMUNITY | Parkdale, Who Knew?
Artist Jonathan Groeneweg and his protĂŠgĂŠs from Parkdale Collegiate Institute fill Parkdale in on some of its own secrets in Parkdale, Who Knew? Opening tonight at various participating Parkdale businesses like Boreal Gelato Company and Chartreuse Style, the students of PCI exhibit images of hidden gems in and around Parkdale from the past and present. Learn about Parkdale's history through student projects and support youth arts by swinging by for drinks and snacks.
