THEATRE | No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre
Three strangers sit in a turn of the century parlour room, talking. As the conversation evolves, a power struggle arises, leading the audience watching the classic Jean-Paul Sartre piece to realize that what they are in fact watching is three people existing in a never-ending hell. Director Rosanna Saracino takes on Sartre at Theatre Passe Muraille tonight with this 1944 existential play No Exit, famous for exposing the idea that "Hell is other people." This small and simple piece identifies the sins and moral standing of people with the poignant precision Sartre intended. Misery loves company so tickets sell at a reduced price for stressed students and crotchety seniors. (And not to worry, the theatre has an exit.)

MUSIC | Maintenance Request Form, The Lawrence Bayne Issue, Ben McKenzie
It's Tuesday night at Rancho again, which means three new local performers looking to entertain you through song. The evening will open with an acoustic set from singer and songwriter Ben McKenzie with sets by indie electro 2-step musician Maintenance Request Form and R&B goth rock act (yes, really) The Lawrence Bayne Issue. Doors open at 9PM and it's a pay-what-you-can show so be generous!

DESIGN | Designing a Future for Our Future
Design with Dialogue and TODO join with Peter Jones and OCAD University guests to host a workshop that focuses on changing the future through design for Torontonians and beyond. Through collaborative efforts, the workshop will examine the future of design and technology as opportunities of social and organizational growth for humanity. The goal is to take action and be a part of this change by co-creating amongst small groups and discussing personal visions for the future. LITERATURE | Reading: "I Shall Not Hate" with Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish
Nobel Peace Prize nominee, doctor, humanitarian, scholar and author Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish visits U of T's Hart House Library tonight to read an excerpt from his book "I Shall Not Hate." After his three daughters were tragically killed during an Israeli invasion in Gaza, Dr. Abuelaish vowed to devote his life to the peacekeeping and restoration of humanity. His book, a Canadian best seller, is the U of T professor's story about struggling with loss and tragedy while remaining devoted to love, peace and kindness. The Gaza Doctor, as he is affectionately known, will engage the audience in a Q&A following the reading.
