PHOTOGRAPHY | The Spectacle of the Rock 'n' Roll Audience: A Photography Exhibit
David Waldman, known as Kid With Camera, has attended 800 concerts in Toronto over the course of the past ten years, each time with a camera strapped to him (hence the nickname). With 269 images to display of Toronto's audiences at some of the most iconic concerts performed by bands like Death From Above 1979, Bjork, Rancid and Rise Against, Waldman observes the spectacle of the rock show by examining the crowds attending. This photography exhibit runs until November 18th. Are you in the crowd?

LITERATURE | Mark Miller's "Way Down That Lonesome Road" Launch
Author and former Globe and Mail jazz critic Mark Miller launches his latest book, "Way Down That Lonesome Road: Lonnie Johnson in Toronto 1965-1970" tonight at an event presented by This Is Not A Reading Series. Interviewed by TINARS artistic director Marc Glassman, Miller will discuss the life and legacy of musician Lonnie Johnson in Toronto, where he experienced national acclaim and failure. This is Miller's tenth book in the last 30 years that examines jazz and jazz musicians.

ART | Signs of the Time by Rocky & Junction Joe
Street and graffiti artists Rocky Dobey and Junction Joe invite the public to see Signs of the Time, their latest exhibit of paintings, prints and sculptures opening on Queen West tonight. Rocky, an acclaimed street artist for over 35 years, presents works on the topics of apocalypse and prison liberation while graffiti artist Junction Joe experiments with new surfaces and techniques of application while drawing on the inner city landscape for inspiration. This intriguing exhibit runs until November 30th.

FILM | Spotlight on Arab and Muslim Women's Stories at IDFF
A film festival within a film festival, IDFF's Spotlight on Arab and Muslim Women's Stories Film Festival begins this evening with a screening of Forget Baghdad. Followed by a conversation with cultural studies scholar Dr. Ella Shohat, the purpose of the mini-fest is to highlight issues relevant to Arab and Muslim women on an international scope. Forget Baghdad is a documentary about the Jewish-Arab connection in Iraq and is one of four films that will play as a part of this spotlight. This mini festival runs until the 6th and the evening's events are some of the few that are free at IDFF 2011.

FILM | Brick by Brick Film Screening and Fundraiser
The Evergreen Brick Works is a 125-year-old institution in Toronto. Once an industrial site and now a centre to promote green living, this evening a fundraiser will be hosted in the space, beginning with a screening of Brick by Brick, the documentary chronicling Geoff Cape's journey to reinvent the space as a cultural and environmental centre. Chef Brad Long will be masterminding the hors d'oeuvres while director Catherine Annau joins the fundraiser for a Q&A session after the screening. Celebrate the accomplishments of this historical site to encourage support of Bike Works, a community bicycle space on-site.

ART | Window Wonderland
What can the creative minds of Ryerson students create with a budget of $100? Window Wonderland is their opportunity to prove themselves. Over 80 students will reveal their displays in 33 storefronts along Yonge this morning. The theme is Peace on Earth and the students to best capture the holiday spirit--based on votes of passersby--will be crowned the winner. Can they compete with their fashionable counterparts who work on the Holt's window displays? Take a trip to Downtown Yonge to find out!
