FILM | Master Class with Film Titles Designer Richard Morrison
As part of the ongoing free Higher Learning program, the TIFF Bell Lightbox invites student and faculty of local institutions to attend Master Class with Richard Morrison. The film title designer who has worked on movies like Batman, A Fish Called Wanda and Sweeney Todd will explain the process of creating film titles while giving a behind-the-scenes look at his work on the 150 movies of his 30 year career. Tickets will be available today, one hour before the event start time, at the Lightbox's box office on a first-come, first-served basis.

THEATRE | Little Pea's Revolution
Laura Quigley's Little Pea's Revolution is the tale of a young girl, afraid to face her future, who has locked herself in her grandmother's bedroom during her 12th birthday party. On her journey of self-discovery, Pea interacts with her cousin, mother, grandmother and best friend questioning her politics, sexuality and identity. Performed by the creator, Quigley herself, Little Pea's Revolution will be on stage tonight and tomorrow night only before it premieres in the U.S. Tickets are available by contacting 416-268-3897 or info@littlerevolutions.ca.

ART | Scan Opening Reception
In her first solo exhibit, Leanne Eisen debuts a new media installation, titled while (true). Comprised of a scanner, a computer monitor and a flat screen television, the piece creates a real-time animation constantly updating and scanning to put the animation on loop. Apart from this large-scale piece, Scan will examine images and aesthetics formed by effect of reflection and movement with digital technology. The opening reception will feature the artist in attendance and the pieces will remain on display at Pikto Gallery until the 16th.

FILM | Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival
The eight days of madness are descending upon Toronto with the opening of the 19th annual Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival today. This evening's gala opening film Sisters & Brothers, starring Cory Monteith, examines the annoyances and joy of having siblings in a dysfunctional film. Director Carl Bessai will be present for a Q&A following the screening. The festival, which showcases feature and short films surrounding topics of mental illness and addiction, will include installations, performances and exhibitions of various arts. Rendezvous ends November 12th.

ART | Robert Bean: 273@345
Canadian artist Robert Bean examines the relationship between Marshall McLuhan and composer John Cage, who was greatly influenced by the theorist, in his exhibit opening at Gallery 345 tonight. Bean's exhibit uses images of artifiacts, archives and compositions of sound and score to observe how technology and inscription feed off one another, effectively "brushing information against information." The Nova Scotia native will be available to speak with at the opening reception this evening. His works will remain on display until December 3rd.
