LITERATURE | This Workshop Is Broken
Toronto music journalist Stuart Berman has written for EYE, The Village Voice, Pitchfork, and other cool, cred-laden music publications. Tonight he will be chatting about his long relationship with the Toronto music scene, and his latest oeuvre This Book Is Broken: The Broken Social Scene Story.

MUSIC | Ra Ra Riot & The Most Serene Republic
The Mod Club has an awesome lineup this evening for lovers of all things "indie rock". The featured headliner is Syracuse, NY-based Ra Ra Riot, a six-piece that has been the darlings of SXSW, CMJ, and other must-do fests and industry showcases with their string-heavy sound. They have also toured opening for Tokyo Police Club and Art Brut. Supporting supremely this eve will be The Most Serene Republic, and Imaginary Cities. The Mod Club (722 College Street West) 8PM $18

THEATRE | 300 Tapes by Public Recordings
Tonight marks the opening of 300 Tapes, an experimental theatre project which finds audio as a central component of the production. The premise of this work involves three individuals recording their everyday lives onto 100 tapes each. This play was developed in residency at The Theatre Centre here in Toronto, and will also be staged in early 2011 in Calgary.

MUSIC | Bilal presented by The Main Ingredient
Bilal rolls in to T-Dot, with a 5 piece band in tow, supporting his latest platter, Airtight's Revenge on the Plug Research label. This soulful artist has collabed with some of the best, including Dr. Dre, J Dilla, and Nottz. Label complications surrounding his last album haven't kept this good man down - his spirits are high and tonight will be a blast. Also on the bill are Slakah The Beatchild, and a host of DJs.

MUSIC | Skrillex
California native Sonny John Moore, aka Skrillex, hits the Wrongbar tonight blasting out his unique and aggressive blend of dub-step, electronica, and more. The former From First To Last frontman is poised to deliver a powerful set, joined on the bill by local openers Zeds Dead, The Killabits, and more.
