LITERARY | The Book Revue: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Book Revue is a monthly forum held for both movie buffs and book lovers alike, breaking down the creative process of taking the printed word and transforming it onto the big screen. The late Steig Larsson's trilogy has captivated the attention of people around the world and at tonight's Revue edition, his first in the series, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" will be the hot topic of discussion. A viewing of the movie will be followed by engaging dialogue, with the whole shebang hosted by Toronto Star columnist Geoff Pevere. Oh, and if you need the book, the nearby Another Story bookshop offers a discount on the titles featured in the series.

FILM | L'Intouchable
The French-German Atelia Ludwigsburg-Paris, founded in 2001 is falling on a Toronto audience tonight at the Innes Town Hall. The program's famous director Jan Sch端tte is bringing two feature films to us, both buttressed by a series of short films by students of the master class. L'Intouchable is a foreign film that explores the ideas of discovery, hope and internal conflict, featuring a dynamic heroin and a captivating plotline. This film has received praise around the world and will be playing tonight, followed by a discussion with Jan Sch端tte, the director and head of the atelier.

LITERARY |Dead Poets Night
Hosted by the Art Bar Poetry Series, which if you're in need of a little trivia, is the longest-running, poetry-only reading series in Canada, has a fantastic lineup for tonight's event. With aficionados of the subject performing the works of Tennyson, Kerouac, Baudelaire, and the like, it's the perfect space for poetry pros and novices to join together in unison and hear some of the world's most famous read aloud. To top it all off it is held at a fun venue on the subway line.

MUSIC | The Artful Vandelays Return w/ Jim Store Juniors and We Were Heads
If you're craving a little rock in your bones this week to augment the roller coaster that is the month of December with all its holiday shopping, parties and the like, Rancho Relaxo is where you'll want to be tonight. If you're a fan of Muse, Radiohead and other alternative icons then you might just grow a crush on this little band from Thornhill, Ontario. They will be playing with two other great bands Jim Store Juniors and We Were Heads. Come on out and have some fun.

ART | Howwedoit - The Art of Titillating Popular Gay Culture
Tonight kicks off Daniel Ross Botterill's brand-new solo exhibition in almost 8 years, being held at Everyone is an Artist on Queen Street East. Botterill has been preparing for his latest expose entitled HOWWEDOIT, which has his website describes it, "explores the poise, glory and precision of the finished product - that vision which drives popular gay culture to its polished perfection." This is nothing to huff about. And if that doesn't convince you to join Botterill and crew for the opening party tonight, did we mention the art subject is half-naked men? Show starts tonight and runs until January 14, 2011.
