ART | Kid Icarus Presents: A Handmade Holiday Gift Show
It's definitely time to start gathering your gifts for all of those who made your list, and this afternoon's Holiday Gift Show will help to keep you far out of the "pair of socks" zone. This hip gathering of vendors will be offering some very cool items for sale. Kid Icarus, the business at the helm of this event, is the Kensington Market shop specializing in poster art and other paper goods, often selling off a small fraction of a run of rock posters they print for some of the city's most popular bands in their very own screen printing studio. MUSIC | Jeffree Star w/ special guests Dev & It Boys
Everyone's favourite gender-bending model-celeb hits town tonight for the "Fresh Meat" tour. Joining Star will be Dev, whose single "Booty Bounce" made some waves last summer, and the It Boys.

ART | Sorry, Everyone
The place where rock and art meet is the gig poster. Pioneers like Wes Wilson invented this genre of art in the 1960s, and changed the science of advertising forever. Since then rock fans have collected or ardently admired these "slice of time" creations. J. Ryan Halpenny, who has created posters for countless bands, including Mogwai and King Khan, will be displaying over 200 of his works, with music provided by Catl, Weirdies, and more.

CLUBS | Chronologic Dance Party
The beloved Goin' Steady DJs return to The Boat in Kensington Market for another of their dance parties "through the ages." With music from "1890 to 2010," there will be eras of booty shakin' to do, and some unexpected surprises. Should be boomin'!

MUSIC | Junos' 40th Anniversary Decades Concert Series
Join Six Shooter Records and local luminaries Dan Hill, Luke Doucet, Justin Rutledge, The Dave Bidini Band, and more as they put their own spin on the great Juno winning tracks from the decade that brought us hard rock, punk rock, and disco.

MUSIC | Handel's Messiah (Highlights)
Some music seems perfectly suited for, and inextricably connected to, certain times of the year. Handel's Messiah is one such piece of music, and it certainly evokes the Holiday season. The Toronto Classical Singers are paired with the Talisker Players Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Jurgen Petrenko for this afternoon's concert. Featured singers will be Sheila Dietrich, soprano; Sandra Boyes, mezzo soprano; Stephen McClare, tenor, and Bruce Kelly, bass.

CLUBS | Everything Crash - Global Musics w/DJ Poor Pilgrim
It's cheaper than hotel rooms and airfare, and the tunes might be just as good. Tonight DJ Poor Pilgrim takes us on a trans-continental musical journey, spinning grooves than are both mainstream and underground. This is a monthly night with no cover that promises to be... a trip!

Amanda Leblanc left her small-town Nova Scotia roots only five years ago or so, but in that time, has made significant inroads as an actress, and launches her long awaited, Don Kerr-produced debut CD Yours, Truly tonight at an early show at Bread & Circus. MJ Cyr opens.

ART | The Snow Day Holiday Market
The ballroom in The Gladstone Hotel will be transformed this afternoon into a bustling marketplace for local artisans, craftmakers, bakers, and designers to show and sell their products. There will be a "community craft table" where you can make your own DIY greeting card, and much more for your senses to feast upon.
