Radar: Lomography Store Opening, punchDRYSDALE at the Sketch Comedy Festival, Team Macho Talk and Tour, Pillow Fight League 60

PHOTOGRAPHY | Lomography Gallery/Store Opening
What the hell is lomography? Here's the story: "It began with a fateful encounter in the early 1990s, when two students in Vienna, Austria, stumbled upon the Lomo Kompakt Automat - a small, enigmatic Russian camera. Mindlessly taking shots from the hip, and sometimes looking through the viewfinder, they were astounded with the mindblowing photos that it produced - the colours were vibrant, with deep saturation and vignettes that framed the shot - it was nothing like they had seen before! Upon returning home, friends wanted their own Lomo LC-A, igniting a new style of artistic experimental photography that we now know as Lomography! If that sounds exciting, then head on over to the gallery/store opening tonight!
536 Queen Street West, 7-10pm

COMEDY | punchDRYSDALE chugs a fart at The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival!
I don't actually know these guys, but based on the title and write-up, I'm willing their show is bound to entertain those who don't mind a little less than sophisticated humour. "Just when you thought it was over, punchDRYSDALE has a new batch of drunken bullshit to parade in front you guys. What have we been up to? Cole has been at home eating Cheerios with a knife and I have been working in garage making a new super weapon that makes puppies have laser eyes." Irresistible, no?
Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor Street West, $15, 10pm

ART | Team Macho Talk and Tour
As part of the Queen West Art + Design + Food walk, Narwhal Art Projects will be hosting Team Macho as the give a tour and talk about their new work "Hibernation Sickness." Narwhal was ranked the best new art gallery in Toronto by our readers last year, and Team Macho are in our artist gallery, so how could you go wrong!
Narwhal (the gallery not the clothing store!), 680 Queen Street West, 6:30pm

FIGHTING | Pillow Fight League (PFL: 60)
Along with getting to watch some ladies bash their brains out with pillows, this event has the added intrigue of being a grudge match between two elite fighters: Apocalipstick vs. Charley Davidson. Here's the best part: "There will be No Disqualifications. No Judges. No Time Limit. The only ways to win are by pinfall or submission, and these can take place ANYWHERE in the building, not just on the mats!"
The Mod Club, 722 College Street, $12, 10pm
