Radar: Toronto Votes, Tweetgasm v1.4, Alien Quadrilogy, So Cow at the Shop, Stand Up for Kids

VOTE | Toronto Votes
The suggestions in our Radar are typically sourced from our well-stocked Events section, but I can't help but throw this one in. Polls are open between 10:00 a.m. and 8 p.m., and you can determine where to cast your ballot at the above link or at Vote.ca. You need to bring ID that establishes your name, address and signature. A useful breakdown of what does and doesn't work can be found here.
Various locations, polls close at 8pm.

TECH | Tweetgasm v1.4
So you managed to vote during the day, and now you can put a face to name of your Twitter "friends" at the Gladstone. There's live music, a chance for @photojunkie to create you a new avatar and @autoshare prize packs. Overall a sensuous experience!
The Gladstone, 1214 Queen Street, West, Free, 6-10pm.

FILM | Alien Quadrilogy Blu Ray Release Party
Ridley Scott and James Cameron square off in the Underground Cinema's double bill featuring Alien (7:00pm) and Aliens (9:45pm). After the latter wraps up, both movies will be available for purchase on Blu Ray, which you may want to consider, because the city itself might seem rather alien after tonight's election.
Underground Cinema, 186 Spadina Road, $8 for one movie, $14 for the double bill.

MUSIC | So Cow at Parts & Labour
I like it when bands provide a bit of press along with their concert listings. Take So Cow, for instance -- this guy has quotations from Pitchfork, The Washington Post and...the Brooklyn Vegan? That's a little uneven, but so too is So Cow's guitar work, in the intentional, bouncy, jagged way. The headliners are joined by Tonka and Puma and Gravity Wave.
The Shop (under Parts and Labour, 1566 Queen St. W), $7, 9pm
