FESTIVAL | Nuit Blanche
Nuit Blanche is quickly becoming one of the city's most beloved traditions, and this year's edition is set up to be the biggest yet. Hell this thing's getting bigger than Christmas. You can check out blogTO's preview to find out what the mother of all art crawls has to offer, but there are a couple of things to watch out for. Things like the Renegade Parade, in which a giant white party truck will snake its way through the city followed by revelers, and the CN Tower being turned into a giant strobe light synced to the sounds of 89.5 CIUT FM. There will also be tons of unofficial parties in bars and galleries around town, and $9 will get you unlimited rides on the TTC which is running all night for the event.

PARTIES | Zombie Death Dance
Zombies continue their infiltration of Toronto's hipster scene when they host their own party at Wrongbar on Saturday. DJ squads the Famous Players and the Frandiscos will be holding down the zombie beat, and admission is free for anyone with an undead makeover. There are make up artists on site if you're all out of fake blood at home. Photographer Brandon Sprouse will be making the rounds all night, so make sure you dress your zombie best.

MADE UP SPORTS | Toronto Pillow Fight League
Rumour has it that the Toronto Pillow Fight League is in pre-production to film a pilot episode for a network TV show. That means the stakes for Saturday night's match-up are even higher, as fiendish PFL commissioner Stacey Case has decreed that the winner will be featured in the pilot. All your favourite stars of the PFL will be there, including Apocalipstick, Chloe Ramone and TV Starr. Might be your last chance see some of the city's most entertaining performance athletes before they are unleashed on the world as network superstars.

FUNDRAISER | RISE for Youthlink
This year another successful Manifesto Festival brought us some great music, art, and film and now its time to give something back. Manifesto is coupling with Nuit Blanche and the Well and Good organization to raise funds for Youthlink, a local community organization that supports vulnerable youth. The proceeds will go to Youthlink's Thursday drop-in program, which focuses on interactive activities which provide for socializing and education. Some great art will be auctioned off, and a Japanese menu will be served.

PARTIES | Motown Party at 751
If you're looking for a fun way to kick off a long evening of Nuit Blanching, try 751's Motown Party. All the best in classic Motown music, with cheap drinks all night and a low low cover of a five dolla bill. Get yourself all pumped up on rum and cokes and Ray Charles, and then set yourself loose on the unsuspecting streets. 751 has limited occupancy and things are sure to get going early tonight, so don't be late. Everybody loves Motown.

MUSIC | Wavelength Housewarming Party w/ Home Video
The Sunday night pay-what-you-can Wavelength concert series has been a Toronto institution for years, and has been responsible for breaking some fine musical talent. For nearly a decade Wavelength has been housed at Sneaky Dee's, but Sunday it moves to a brand new venue at the just-opened Garrison club at Dundas and Ossington. Hopefully the night will be just as successful there as it has been at College and Bathurst, and all indications are that it will be as ex-Sneaky's booker Shaun Bowring is running the place. Home Video, Betty Burke, SherpaFeast, and Tripping Hazard play the housewarming party.

SPORTS | Hockey For All
The Ricoh Coliseum hosts this all-day hockey event that includes a game between the Toronto Marlies and their hated division rivals the Hamilton Bulldogs. Before the game there will be interactive games and activities, and afterward there will be an on-ice demonstration of hockey skills and rules and a Q&A with the big man himself, Leafs' general manager Brian Burke. The Marlies are the Leafs' minor league affiliate, and currently have some future Leaf stars on the roster including last year's first round draft pick Nazem Kadri. A great chance for youngsters or newcomers to hockey to learn about the national game.

MUSIC | Andrew WK and the Calder Quartet
Ever wonder what happened to Andrew WK, that headbanging dude with the bloody nose who had everyone excited for a little while with that party party party song? Well apparently he's playing piano with a string quartet. The group will be performing pieces by Philip Glass and Andrew WK will be improvising on themes by Bach. No kidding. The closing numbers are all taken from WK's songbook though, and apparently really get the crowd dancing. Does he wear a tux? Has he cut his hair? How did this happen? So many questions.

FESTIVAL | High Park Harvest Festival
Toronto's biggest urban park kicks of the autumn season with a fall festival this Sunday. There will be all kinds of fall-y things to do, including wagon rides, a market of harvest foods and vendors, and face painting for the kids. The Wildlife Education and Environmental Programs will be putting on a display of birds of prey, and you can also climb the park's Hawk Hill to try to catch a glimpse of the annual hawk migration.
