Car hit by falling concrete from Gardiner Expressway

It was bound to happen--the falling concrete from the Gardiner Expressway finally struck a car, resulting in three lane closures of Lakeshore Blvd. near Yonge St. According to the Star, a lawyer's black Mercedes was struck by a chunk of falling concrete, but he was unharmed.

This should pretty easily answer any questions about the Gardiner's safety.
