Cast confirmed for David Cronenberg's next film
The cast for David Cronenberg's next film has been announced, and lo and behold, Viggo Mortensen will not be one of the stars. Based on the Don DeLillo novella, Cosmopolis will feature the work of Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti and Mathieu Amalric (among others). Principal photography is set to start in Toronto this summer after the locally based director wraps up work on A Dangerous Method, which is set to come out later this year.
The film "is a contemporary thriller about a hedge fund trader who is stalked while his fortune evaporates under the weight of his cynical bets against the survival of the global economy." Sounds better than Wall Street II, doesn't it?
