TTC driver charged with assault
A TTC driver will face assault charges following an incident on a bus near Bayview and Lawrence at around 10:45 a.m today.
Police were called to the scene after a fare dispute escalated into a physical altercation. Although the details are still sketchy, reports have the bus driver attacking an 18-year-old student and breaking a window of the vehicle.
The student suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
TTC spokesperson Brad Ross had no further details, but confirmed that the video recording from the on-bus camera will be downloaded and sent to police.
