The multi-instrumentalists from Quebec return to Toronto for a four-night stay at The Theatre Centre to celebrate American singer-songwriter Tom Waits. It's difficult to describe what type of show "L'Orchestre d'Hommes-Orchestres Performs Tom Waits" really is - a play, a concert, a concert-play. But what matters is their performance and how they bring to life the career of a music legend, singing his songs in their own interpretation. Expect harmony in discord in this interactive showcase filled with an array of musical and pseudo-musical instruments: from teacups to suitcases used as percussion. You can watch a sample here.

THURSDAY MARCH 3 / THE HOLIDAY CROWD / RANCHO RELAXO / 300 COLLEGE ST / $6 / 19+
March 3rd is a busy night for music in Toronto: Snowblink celebrates the re-issue of her record Long Live with an in-store performance at Soundscapes, while thousands will go see Lady Gaga at the Air Canada Centre. But if you're looking for another show that night, locals The Holiday Crowd - who we featured on The Neighbourhood Mixtape - are playing at Rancho Relaxo. Joining them will be fellow locals Broken Bricks, Kevin Myles Wilson and Guelph's The Speakeasies.

FRIDAY MARCH 4 / SMALL SINS / THE HORSESHOE TAVERN / 370 QUEEN ST W / $10 / 19+
Toronto electronic-pop band Small Sins returns home to play at The Horseshow Tavern. After taking a few years off touring as a back-up band for K-OS, the band worked with producer John McEntire (Tortoise) and released their newest album Pot Calls Kettle Black last year - a record EYEWEEKLY.com praised for its "distinctive heart-on-sleeve style." Ketch Harbour Wolves, who also released their album Anachronisms last year, and The Order of Good Cheer open for Small Sins.

SATURDAY MARCH 5 / SNOWBLINK / THE MUSIC GALLERY / 197 JOHN ST / $12 / ALL AGES
Don't be too down on yourself if you didn't get a chance to grab tickets to the sold-out show at Lee's Palace with Plants & Animals and 2010 Polaris Music Prize-winning Karkwa - because just a few train stops away, Snowblink is having an album release party at The Music Gallery, located inside St George-the-Martyr Anglican Church. The duo brings with them their warm, sunshine-filled Long Live record that includes the beautiful track "Ambergris". Along with special guests, Snowblink teams up with puppeteer and community-based theatre artist Sean Frey.

TUESDAY MARCH 8 / MARNIE STERN & TERA MELOS / WRONGBAR / 368 QUEEN ST W / $13.25 / 19+
New York guitar-goddess Marnie Stern travels across the border and returns to Wrongbar, co-headlining with Northern California experimental-electronic band Tera Melos. Marnie Stern's anthemic and triumphant "For Ash" (from her self-titled third album) is one of 2010's top tracks. And last week, Tera Melos released their six-pack EP Zoo Weather, a follow-up to their 2010 Patagonian Rats LP.
