Shad

Audio & Video: Shad's good name, brand new song from The Rural Alberta Advantage, Kirby of Leominster releases free Xmas EP, Lowest of the Low play at Sonic Boom, Southern Souls features My Divine Light, & more

Though the industry as a whole slows down at this time a year, we here at blogTO are still rounding up all the latest audio and video content in our workshop, looking for those last minute stocking stuffers for all our faithful readers. This week I feature another video from Shad's recent performance in Paris (review here), Lowest of the Low's in-store session at Sonic Boom, and the Rural Alberta Advantage got in the Christmas spirit this past week, giving a new song from their upcoming album away for free, as well as covering "The Little Drummer Boy" at their sold-out show at Lee's Palace. All of this and more in a special A/V Christmas round-up.

The Rural Alberta Advantage - "Stamp"
Hot on the heels of a sold out homecoming show at Lee's Palace last week, The Rural Alberta Advantage released a track off their upcoming sophomore album Departing, which is scheduled for a March 1 release via Paper Bag/Saddle Creek. The song is "Stamp" and is available for free digital download. [MP3]

Holy Fuck - "Red Lights" (Sebastien Grainger remix)
Former Death From Above 1979 drummer, Sebastien Grainger, has been hard at work with his latest project, dance-band Bad Tits, which has seemed to rub off on this remix for the Holy Fuck song "Red Lights."

Kirby of Leominster - A Very Kirby Khristmas
Making it's way down the chimney just in the St. Nick of time is A Very Kirby Khristmas, four songs (three covers, one original) from Kirby of Leominster. One of BlogTO's first "indie exclusive" featured artists, Kirby is a talented singer-songwriter who is no stranger to the Christmas release and his original track, "Love On Christmas," quickly became one of my favourite holiday tunes last year and gets the remix treatment on this free download.
