Hot Ticket: Clinic, Jason Collett acoustic show, DJ Shadow, Flowers of Hell CD release party, Tim Barry of Avail, Fang Island & more

Live music picks for WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 10 through TUESDAY NOVEMBER 16, 2010.

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 10 / CLINIC / LEE'S PALACE / 529 BLOOR ST W / $15 / 19+
Crossing the Atlantic and hailing from Liverpool, England, Clinic bring their experimental post-punk buzz to Lee's Palace tonight, hot on the heels of Bubblegum, which is the foursomes sixth studio album.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 11 / JASON COLLETT / CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER / 162 BLOOR ST W / $20 / ALL AGES
I am not a religious man, but there is something about the Church of the Redeemer, which hosts an acoustic Jason Collett on Thursday, that is an almost spiritual experience. It's a fantastic venue to see the stripped down Collett, who is heading across Canada for his "Undressed Tour" in support of his latest release Pony Tricks.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 12 / DJ SHADOW / PHOENIX / 410 SHERBOURNE ST / $29.50 / 19+
One of the founding fathers of instrumental hip hop, DJ Shadow, returns to Toronto at the Phoenix on Friday. The California-based DJ always puts on an exciting live show that's full of energy and neck-breaking beats, making this show a must see for any electronica fan.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 13 / FLOWERS OF HELL / ST. STEPHEN IN THE FIELD / 103 BELLEVUE AVE. / $10
Though their album O - a single 45-minute track - was posted yesterday in our Audio/Video roundup, the Flowers Of Hell will be playing it in it's entirety on Saturday at St. Stephen In The Field. This official DVD/CD release promises to be a special night that likely won't happen too often.

MONDAY NOVEMBER 15 / TIM BARRY / WRONGBAR / 1279 QUEEN ST W / $10.50 / 19+
Former lead-singer for the Richmond, Virginia-based punk rock band Avail, Tim Barry, will headline a night of punk-rock-turned-singer-songwriter at Wrongbar on Monday. Opening the night will be Regina-native Northcote (ex-Means, ex-The Emerson Letters) and Burlington, Ontario's Robert Pasalic & The Old School Future (Saint Alvia, ex-Boys Night Out). New Market's Cavaliers! will also be performing.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 16 / FANG ISLAND / EL MOCAMBO / 464 SPADINA AVE / $11.50 / 19+
Pop indie rockers, Fang Island, hit up the El Mo on Tuesday in support of their self-titled debut LP, which was released earlier this year. The boys from Brooklyn will be accompanied by New Jersey's Delicate Steve, the solo moniker for songwriter/producer Steve Marion.
